Library to host free baking classes about pie

Carter House decorated for the holidays

From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY

With the holiday season coming up, now is a good time to hone baking skills. Rachel Sizer, sustainability coordinator for the city of Bowling Green, is coming to the Wood County District Public Library to lead two hands-on baking classes in November. A former winner in the annual holiday bake-off, Sizer will teach attendees her tricks to making delicious pies.

The first session, on Friday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m., will focus on making the perfect crust. The second session, on Friday, Nov. 13, 2 p.m., will cover fillings. Both classes will take place at the Carter House on 307 N. Church St., directly behind the library.

The event is free and open to the public, though registration is required to take part in this program. Attendees may sign up by visiting the library’s website calendar at https://wcdpl.libcal.com/event/17263785 or by calling 419-352-5050.
