‘Lunch and Learn’ to focus on labor shortage and immigrant workers

The next “Lunch and Learn” in Bowling Green will focus on the manufacturing industry’s labor shortage and immigrant workers, plus immigration regulations.

The virtual event will be held Wednesday, June 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Speakers will include Rose Britner, human relations manager at Pinnacle Plastic Products; Baldemar Velasquez, president of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee; and Mechelle Zarou, immigration attorney/partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick.

Opening remarks will be given by Kati Thompson, executive director of Bowling Green Economic Development. The moderator will be Mojabeng Kamala, of Welcome BG.
