Margaret “Jane” McPherson, 88 of Bowling Green, OH Passed Away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026 at Bowling Green Manor. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Rudolph, OH to John C. and Alma G. (Drace) Wickard. Jane married James L. McPherson on November 10, 1957 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dowling, OH. Jane and James raised 2 daughters and celebrated over 40 years of marriage together before James’ passing in August of 1998.
Jane had worked as a clerk a number of years for Johnny’s Carryout in Cygnet, OH until retiring. She was a proud member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and in her younger years was involved with various ministries. Jane enjoyed going to garage sales, Sprint car races, playing cards or dominos with a group lady friends from Chauncey Apartments where she lived. She was particularly fond of the memories of her trips to Cancun, Mexico. Nevertheless, it was spending time with her family, that remained her happiest joy of all.
Jane is survived by her daughters: Robyn (Jessie) Sanchez of Fostoria, and Tamara McPherson of Toledo. Grandson, Chris (Kari) Clagg of Carey, great-granddaughters: Soleil, and Rowan. Sisters: Peggy Heilman of Findlay, Nancy (David) Lowe of Bowling Green, brother, Jack Wickard of Findlay, sister-in-law, Janet (Larry) Shaffer of Cygnet, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband James, Jane was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Gary Wickard, Jim Wickard, Tom Wickard, sister, Janet Kay, father and mother-in-law; Lester and Loretta McPherson, brother and sister-in-law; Jack (Joanne) McPherson.
Family and friends will be received 9-11 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 22552 Carter Road, Bowling Green, (Dowling) Ohio. Interment will be in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery Dowling, OH immediately following. Officiating will be Pr. Bob Noble.
