Maryanne Rutter Spielman passed away on March 28, 2019 in her Salem Va. home after a six year fight with breast cancer. She was born to Howard and Maryalice (Thompson) Rutter on September 20, 1951 in Bowling Green, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1969 and later from Ohio Northern University. She was married to Dr. Jeff Spielman, PhD and together they had two sons, Chad who passed in infancy and Matthew. She is survived by her son Matthew and siblings and their significant others, Tom and KoAnn (Horner) Rutter, Bruce Rutter and Cathy Kutzli, Jane (Rutter) Jim Grilliot. In addition she is survived by Janet (Rutter) Kramer, Janet (Spielman) Womack and Joe Allan. Nieces and nephews, T.J. and Allison Rutter, Nicole and Nick Hirth, Heather and Gary Babaryk, Lucas and Sarah Womack, Kyle and Mike Brown, Katie Womack. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff, son Chad, Gerald Kramer and Jerry Womack. The family would like to thank her close friends Lynn Sowder and Clarence Kennedy for the special care they gave Maryanne through her battle. A memorial service in Bowling Green will be held at a later date.
