Mayor of Rossford says Paul Dobson has demonstrated concern for truth, compassion for victims

I write to provide my strong endorsement for Paul Dobson’s candidacy for Wood County Court of Common Pleas judge. I know Paul well and know that he will bring valuable experience, knowledge, and the right judicial temperament to the bench. His 18 years as the Wood County prosecutor particularly qualifies and has prepared him for this position.

Paul has demonstrated his concern for the truth and compassion for crime victims repeatedly through his over 28 years of prosecutorial service. I witnessed this several years ago, when someone attempted to frame a Rossford resident by planting drugs. As soon as the truth was discovered, Paul rushed to dismiss the charges against the victim and turned to the prosecution of the real offender.

Paul believes that judges have an important part to play in upholding the constitutional rights of crime victims and wants to ensure that they are heard and valued by the justice system. He is also committed to work on bringing needed Ohio Supreme Court-certified programs to address issues like drug addiction and mental illness to Wood County, making sure that public safety is prioritized, while certain offenders are able to maintain their jobs and lives. He is supported and endorsed by retired police, victims of crime, attorneys, and unions.

Please join me in supporting Paul Dobson and ensuring that his experience and compassion get promoted to the Wood County Court of Common Pleas.

Neil A. MacKinnon III
