Meet Mickey, one of the dogs from Toledo dropped off at the Wood County Dog Shelter, is still looking for a new home. He is about 3 years old and weighs 53 pounds.
“He is a complete sweetheart and is my office buddy right now,” said Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “He is still learning that the world is not such a scary place, but is getting better every day. He has done well with all of the dogs at the shelter and has a very calm and laid back personality. He is looking for a patient home to help him come out of his shell.”
Mickey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
