Museum to host fundraising event and online silent auction

NikkiD and The Sisters of Thunder to perform at the museum July 7.

The Wood County Museum will host an in-person summer BBQ-themed fundraising event on July 7 at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $60 per person. Included in the ticket cost are a porch concert by Nikki D and the Sisters of Thunder, food by City Barbecue, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. There is a side raffle for various prizes such as a YETI cooler filled with camping items, Blackstone grill, sit-on kayak, and a lottery tree.

The Wood County Museum hopes to raise $25,000 to continue its exceptional education programs, new exhibits and collections care. 

An online silent auction that starts July 1 at noon will wrap up at 8 p.m. during the July 7 event. Those attending the live event will be able to see the auction items in person and bid via personal smartphones or at a computer station at the event.

Prize packages for the online silent auction encompass artist experiences, merchant swag, and a plethora of food samplings from across Ohio including Toledo Museum of Art, Cosi in Columbus, Toledo Aerial Media, Cincinnati Zoo, Levis Commons, Miller Ferry, Toledo Mud Hens, Cedar Point, Downtown Bowling Green, and more.

For those who cannot attend the fundraiser, there are opportunities to support the museum with the purchase of a “non-event” ticket at $60 per person or make a donation via the auction site, or visit the Wood County Museum website.
