Nadine Carr, 82, of Bowling Green, OH passed away peacefully Monday after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Nadine graduated from Fostoria High School in 1952 and married her high school sweetheart, David Carr shortly thereafter. They remain devoted to each other to this day.
Nadine was the daughter of the late Ford and Kate Matthews of Fostoria, OH. Nadine enjoyed traveling, road trips with Dave, and vacations with her family at the lake or beach. She loved her long-time job as a realtor for Titus Realty and formed many friendships helping her clients buy or sell their homes. She also spent many happy hours playing bridge and poker with her girlfriends. Nadine was an excellent cook and her pies were always requested at family gatherings. Her family was the most important thing to her.
She was preceded in death by her son Jeff earlier this year, as well as brothers Stan and James (Karen). She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David, son Keith Carr, daughter Kathy Hammond (Jeff), grandchildren Rachel and Ben Hammond and Alan (Somer) Carr, and great grandchild Dilyn. She is also survived by a brother Gary (Ruth) of Columbus, OH.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Jesse and the staff at Clare Bridge and Anna at Bridge Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
