The Wood County Agricultural Society will host a training site for a national “You make THE difference” campaign dedicated to saving local fairs and community events.

The initial training by Ian Hill, founder of The Changing Point, will be held at the Wood County Fairgrounds on Monday, April 14, from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The Wood County Agricultural Society was chosen as one of seven sites across Ohio to invite community difference-makers to participate in the training.

During the training, Hill will lead discussions about goals and strategies for a winning team. The first hour of training is the most essential. The training is designed to help equip agricultural societies and fairs with tools that today’s times require: increase the number of volunteers, decrease expenses, increase revenues and increase community impact.

Fairs and community events “are more than just celebrations; they are the heart and soul of our community, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors to share in joy, traditions, and connections,” Hill said.“Together, we can ensure that future generations can enjoy the magic of our fairs and community events for a long time to come.”

Interested individuals/organizations can register to attend the April 14 training session here.
