The Bowling Green Board of Education adjourned Thursday around 9:30 p.m., after meeting in executive session to discuss the selection of a new superintendent. No decision was made when the board reconvened, according to board President Ryan Myers.
The board will meet again for a special meeting Monday, at 4:30 p.m., to continue discussions. The board will meet at the Administrative Offices, 137 Clough St., Bowling Green, and will immediately go into executive session. No action is expected to be taken.
The three finalists for the superintendent position are:
- Kim Brueck, director of human resources and student services at Green Local Schools, near Akron.
- Ted Haselman, superintendent at Pike-Delta-York Local Schools, in Fulton County.
- Bruce Otley, operations director, Liberty-Benton Local Schools, near Findlay.
The three candidates met with the community on Wednesday evening for question and answer sessions. Then Thursday, the three met with school district leaders, teachers, and city leaders, toured all the school buildings, then were re-interviewed by the board.
The board hopes to have a new superintendent hired by early May.
