Norman Lee Soldwish

Norman Lee Soldwish, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and friend, departed this world on April 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion. Norman was born on November 14, 1936, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Norman and Dorothy Soldwish, both of whom preceded him in death.

Norman’s memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife, Patricia; children: Neal (Courtney) Soldwish, Patti (Andy) Marshinsky, Norman Lee Jr (Katie) Soldwish, and Jeff (Cheryl) Soldwish; daughter-in-law Debbie Soldwish. Norman’s spirit lives on in the hearts of his 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, who were each touched by his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. Norman’s brother, Ronald Soldwish, shares in the sorrow of his passing, while the memory of his son Michael Soldwish sister, JoAnne Green, remains a cherished part of his journey.

Served his country in the United States Air Force from 1954 ot 1958 and was honorably discharged.  He was the proud owner of All Risk Insurance in Bowling Green and was a licensed   insurance salesman for 55 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his yard and garden. 

Norman was deeply committed to helping others. As an AA mentor, he touched countless lives with his compassion, empathy, and unwavering support. His dedication to the recovery community extended far and wide, as he traveled all over Ohio as an AA speaker, sharing his story of hope and resilience with sincerity and grace. Norman found great solace in his love for golf, frequently journeying to Myrtle Beach to indulge in the sport he adored. Additionally, Norman selflessly supported individuals on their journey to recovery by serving as a mentor and guide through the game, offering them encouragement and companionship along the way.

In honor of Norman’s lifelong commitment to serving others, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous 3328 Glanzman Road Toledo, Oh 43614 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in lieu of flowers. 

Normas Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green.  Military Honors for will be rendered at Toledo Memorial Park following the celebration of life service.
