OSU Extension AmeriCorps service project seeks food, goods donations

From Ohio State University Extension-Wood County

The Ohio State University Extension AmeriCorps Service Project is hosting a food and goods donation drive to help fill food pantries in North Baltimore and multiple Free Little Pantries in Columbus.

The project, which runs through Tuesday, April 1, is accepting donations at the OSU Extension-Wood County office, 639 S. Dunbridge Road, Suite 1, Bowling Green.

Among the accepted food items are cereals and instant oatmeal packets, rice, soup, formula and dry cereal for infants, canned food, boxed food, and other non-perishable foods. Household items that can be donated include gloves, hats and scarves, blankets, shampoo/conditioner and household goods.

Donations will help fill pantries with essential non-perishable food items for individuals and families facing food insecurity. For more information, contact Sophia Franck at 419-508-8228 or Susan Zies at 419-818-3080.
