Submitted by GATHERING VOLUMES & OF RUST & GLASS

Gathering Volumes will host its annual Author Fair on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

More than 25 area authors, illustrators, and artists will be on hand to celebrate celebrate books. From children’s picture books to horror, science fiction/fantasy to regional nonfiction, and everything in between, there is something for every reader.

Authors scheduled to participate are: Anthony Knopps, Buzz Parcher, Curtis A. Deeter, E.M. Anderson, Genevieve Geha Kirkbride, Jim Mollenkopf, Kellie and Gerald Hill, Kevin Moore and Kristina Smith, Laurence St. John, Leah McNaughton Lederman, Lynn Nye, Peris De Vohn, Phil Farina, Sandra Hults, Theresa Konwinski, Rachel Clark, M. A. Csortos, R. S. Hamilton, Nathan Jacobs, John Roth, Dirk Manning, Jennifer Shafer, Hope Bolinger, Jim Bolone, Timothy Geiger, and Cyn Mackley.

Light eats for lunch and drinks will be available, with proceeds going toward funding the 4th annual Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival (along with a book raffle).

Home-brewed craft beer samples from the Glass City Mashers, a lemonade truck (The Rolling Lemon), coffee (Sweet Nate’s), and Maybe Cheese Born With It will be available.

Northwest Ohio has always had a thriving arts scene, including authors and poets across the spectrum of skill and style. The Author Fair (which is one of the only larger-scale book events in the area) is the shop’s way of supporting local authors and getting great literature into the hands of local readers.

Of Rust and Glass (est. January 2020), a Midwest publisher based out of Maumee, is Gathering Volumes’ co-sponsor.

(Sept.  22 is the rain date.)
