The Bowling Green American Legion Auxiliary Unit 45, in conjunction with BG Parks and Recreation, will be holding a Poppy Drive-Thru on Saturday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The community will be able to drive through the parking lot in front of the Veterans Memorial Building in City Park, drop a donation in the jar and receive a poppy all without getting out of their cars.
All donations received go directly to helping assist disabled and hospitalized veterans in local communities.
The poppy is a reminder of the past sacrifices and continuing needs of veterans and is a recognized symbol of sacrifice. The public is asked to show support for those who unselfishly served this nation.
