Robert M. “Bob” Shamp, 83 of Findlay passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at The Heritage. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on October 24, 1942 to Deane and Kathleen (Sterling) Shamp.
Bob married Diana (Rider) Kuhlman on July 9, 1976 and she survives along with sons; Jeff Kuhlman of North Baltimore and Randy Scott Shamp of Findlay. He is also survived by his sisters; Caris Thompson of Arizona, Kathy (Harry) Rock of Fostoria, Darlene (Eddie) Leger of North Baltimore, five grandchildren; Amber Pilcher, Holly Kelley, Jessica Leeper, Deanna Perkins, Bryten Perkins, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert M. “Bobby” Shamp, II, daughter, Jennifer Perkins and a sister, Nancy Hamilton.
Bob worked construction and enjoyed farming before he settled into his career at Bowling Green State University where he was a maintenance supervisor, retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed motorcycles, camping, working in the yard, and fishing, taking many Canadian fishing trips. Bob was also an accomplished wood worker, making cabinets for all of his granddaughters. He also also enjoyed spending winters in Florida with Diana.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2026 at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
