Robert O. Broka, 94, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, October 7, 2026. Bob was born January 2, 1932 in Center Twp., Wood Co. After graduation from Bowling Green High School, he enlisted in the Army and served from 1951 to 1954 and spent 14 months in Korea. Bob retired from the Sentinel Tribune in 1988 after 42 years starting out as a paper boy and ended up working in production. He then worked for Doren Toyota until he retired in 1993.
He married Mildred “Millie” Kramp on September 1, 1956 and they spent 70 years together. He was a life member of the VFW, the Wood County Historical Society and the Wood County Genealogical Society.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Millie and daughter Anne (Jay) Deutschman and grandchildren Karen Himelhan, Gregory and Steven Deutschman and great-granddaughters Avery and Alyce Himelhan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orville Broka and May (Ridenour) Miller, brother Harold Broka and son Ross Broka.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 15, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday October 16, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Bowling Green where military honors will be rendered by the AMVETS Honor Detail.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to Christ United Methodist Church in Portage, Ohio, Wood County Genealogical Society or the Wood County Historical Society.
