Wood County Sheriff’s Office has advised motorists on Thursday evening to avoid U.S. 6, between Caskie Road and Ohio 199 South, due to a downed tree blocking all lanes. The roadway is closed while a tree is removed and will require a detour of traffic. The detour is likely to be needed for the next couple hours.
