From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Wood County District Public Library has invited the community to its WCDPL Foundation Series event with entrepreneur, bestselling author, and international keynote speaker, Sam Goodwin. This event will be held in the Bowling Green library atrium, 251 N. Main St., on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.
A former Division I hockey player, Goodwin co-founded a tech company and NGO in Singapore and is one of the few people to have traveled to all 193 countries in the world. His book, Saving Sam, recounts his experience of being taken hostage and wrongfully imprisoned in Syria. Goodwin speaks to audiences worldwide, hoping to inspire others to embrace challenges with resilience.
Registration is required, though tickets for the event are free and open to the public. To register, call 419-352-5050, email woodref@wcdpl.org, or register online.
