Bowling Green Police arrested two men and one teenager for criminal trespassing, drug abuse, and carrying a concealed weapon, after they refused to leave a restaurant on West Gypsy Lane Road, Thursday (Aug. 24), around 9:45 p.m.
The males, all from Bowling Green, were reportedly asked to leave after one came into the restaurant wearing a black ski mask, one took a photo of an employee, and a gun was later located in one of their backpacks.
Corey Winnick Jr., 30, who reportedly left the restaurant when asked, was cited for drug abuse/hashish, and taken to Wood County Jail.
Isaiah Shepherd, 19, was cited for criminal trespassing and carrying a concealed weapon. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
And a 17-year-old male was cited for criminal trespassing and drug abuse/hashish, and taken to Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
When police arrived at the restaurant, two of the males were on their bicycles headed to a gas station, and the other was in the Walmart parking lot.
A restaurant employee mentioned that one of the males possibly had a knife. When the males were asked to leave the restaurant, one of them reportedly said he wanted to “beat up” another employee.
Police found a .22 caliber firearm inside the teen’s backpack, but Shepherd reportedly said it was his handgun. Also inside the bag were three black ski masks, and a THC vape pen.
A restaurant employee told police that within the last few weeks, the males have been harassing some of the employees, but that no threats had been made. On Thursday, one of the employees reported that one of the males advised him to check his car before he left the restaurant.
The three males have been trespassed from the restaurant, and are not allowed to enter the establishment again.
