Tickets Available Now for HYT’s ‘The Little Prince’

SUBMITTED BY HORIZON YOUTH THEATRE

Horizon Youth Theatre is pleased to announce its production of “The Little Prince,” by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, directed by Liz Robertson. Performances are being held in the historic Grand Rapids Town Hall, 24287 Front Street, on Friday, March 6 at 7 pm; Saturday, March 7 at 7 pm; and Sunday, March 8 at 2 pm. Tickets are $12 for students and seniors and $15 for adults, or $10 a piece for groups of 5 or more. They are available at horizonyouththeatre.org or at the door. Seating is general admission.

From Dramatic Publishing’s website: “During their two weeks together in the desert, the Little Prince tells the Aviator about his adventures through the galaxy, how he met the Lamplighter and the Businessman and the Geographer, and about his strained relationship with a very special flower on his own tiny planet. The Little Prince talks to everyone he meets: a garden of roses, the Snake, and a Fox who wishes to be tamed. From each he gains a unique insight which he shares with the Aviator: ‘It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.’ At length, both the Little Prince and the Aviator must go home—each with a new understanding of how to laugh, cry, and love again.”
