Time to pay up & support BGIN’s services

To Readers of the Bowling Green Independent News— We hope you are, as we have been, enjoying the BGIN’s Twelve Days after Christmas reminiscing of stories past. Jan and David are indefatigable in their objective coverage of local news, meetings, events, and culture. Their stories are well-researched and so well-written in a small span of time. Jean reports to the BGLWV on the BGCS Board of Education monthly meetings, and almost always, Jan has her report published in the BGIN before Jean has had a chance to interpret her notes— making her job so much easier. David’s coverage of area arts and music reflects his many years of experience conducting interviews for and reporting on large events such as the Black Swamp Arts Festival and smaller gatherings like openings in the new BG Arts Council exhibit space. And to Elizabeth & John Roberts -Zibbel (and anyone we’ve missed) who report the local obituaries (so appreciated), maintain the website, solicit ads, edit, and wear the many hats needed to give us timely news, thank you.

It is time for all of us to pay our debt to the BGIN for the services we rely on each and every day. Please start your new year by making a donation to the BGIN at Support.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Jean and Chris Geist
