Tiny creatures are featured in BG Tiny Gallery’s October showcase

The BG Tiny Gallery’s October theme is “(tiny) Creature Feature.” This is the final BG Tiny Gallery Showcase for 2026. The gallery, located outside the back door of Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St., will return next spring.

This month’s selections include a spooky Halloween take via tiny paintings, lots of crocheted and fiber artwork, and clay creations.

The featured artists (identified by their Instagram account name and their area of artistry include:

Frankie M.M. “Frankie” Hattery,  (@derridoid ), a fiber and thread artist whose area of passion and specialty is around making clothing, tapestries and funny little guys. Their work is motivated by a love of texture, whimsy, and the idea of making something simply because it would be funny if it existed

Payton—Letting her brain trail off, @newtnewt.clay.nook explores happenings that spark her curiosity, reflecting on and recreating them through clay. She imagines everyday objects as living organisms while playfully giving life to these lighthearted and animalistic creatures known as newtnewts. The sole purpose of these cheeky critters is to enhance our world and impact her audience’s daily life with sizable smiles and joyful chuckles.

Bubblez,  @bubblezz_art makes work heavily influenced by statement colors and tonal values. They are predominantly a portrait artist with a love for things a little bit strange.

Jules is a local fiber artist who specializes in soft art and joyful pieces. All their stuff is on linktree linktr.ee/stumptstudios.

Jax, aka @thistle.and.berry. They are a local oil painter focusing on your favorite foods and favorite people. They focus on connecting queer artists and contributing to their local art community.

Zach, @les.doodless,   has been doing shrinky dinks unprofessionally for four years.  Zach started one night after not being able to sleep and randomly recalling the kindergarten craft. “I’ve been doing dinks since then to unwind at my day job.”

Molly Stygles is a 15-year-old who loves to create  art in her free time. She loves to explore many styles and could never settle on just one. She’s glad to be able to participate in BG Tiny Art Gallery’s lovely October set up @ketchym.lly.

Lordex Axe, otherwise known as Axel Crimmins, is a traditional acrylic and digital artist from Bowling Green. He loves to make the macabre beautiful, creating demon-esque figures with rich colors. Follow him at @lordexaxe on Instagram and Lordex Axe Art on Facebook.

Tamy is your local lovable craft goddess. She came up with our tiny stitched attendees on a Halloween whim. When she isn’t at Ben’s you can find her spending time with her grandchildren and whipping out little projects at home.
