Toledo Ballet will hold its week-long dance camps March 28 through April 1.

SWING INTO SPRING

March 28-April 1

Students ages 4-6: 9-10:30 a.m.

Students ages 5-7: 1-2:30 p.m.

Swing Into Spring is a week-long, 90-minute class that offers students ages 4-7 a developmentally appropriate dance class, a story, and time to explore rhythm and other musical concepts all leading up to a mini-demonstration at the end of the week-long camp. These classes are led by Toledo Ballet faculty member Marisa Dickens, Toledo Symphony Early Childhood Educator Cheryl Trace, and additional TSO musicians.

DANCE EXPLORERS

March 28-April 1

Students ages 7-9

10:45-11:45 a.m.

Dance Explorers is a week-long, 60-minute class for students ages 7-9 that allows children to experiment with different types of dance, including jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, and more.

“Toledo Ballet’s Spring Camps are designed to encourage age-appropriate creativity, musicality, development, but most of all, fun,” says Rachel Schultz, Director of Education & Community Outreach for the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts.

“These camps are the perfect place to let your little one move, imagine, and play. We are excited to offer these camps free to Toledo Ballet students and welcome new friends to come learn and explore.”

Participation for currently enrolled Toledo Ballet students is free. For students not currently enrolled in any Toledo Ballet programs, the participation fee is $40 for Dance Explorers and $55 for Swing into Spring.

To register for either of these week-long programs, visit www.toledoballet.com or call 419-471-0049.
