Two teens arrested for menacing after reportedly making threats at children’s agency

Two teenage boys were arrested and taken to Wood County Juvenile Detention on Thursday (March 20) after alleged threats were made to harm staff and a therapy dog at Children’s Resource Center in Bowling Green.

Bowling Green Police were called to the facility at 3:22 p.m., after the 15-year-olds were brought to CRC from a facility in Toledo. The boys were wards of the state from Perry County and Morgan County children’s services agencies.

The boys reportedly blocked the entrance to CRC, not letting people in or out of the facility. They reportedly had realistic looking Nerf guns, a butter knife and a vest that appeared to be bulletproof.

The teens reportedly banged on the front windows, and one threatened to punch staff members and harm the therapy dog.

BGPD charged the boys with disorderly conduct, menacing, and obstructing official business.
