Two women arrested for domestic violence by BGPD in separate incidents

Two Bowling Green women were charged with domestic violence in separate incidents over the weekend.

On Saturday (May 4) at 4:16 a.m., Bowling Green Police were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Sixth Street. Based on interviews and injuries sustained, Jordain Powell, 30, of Bowling Green, was arrested and taken to Wood County Jail.

Powell reportedly became violent with another resident in the apartment, cutting his forehead, punching his face, and biting the back of his arm. Powell also reportedly hit the man with a diaper changing mat, and accidentally hit the baby he was holding in the head with the mat, leaving a mark, according to the police report.

On Monday (May 6) at 12:10 a.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 500 block of East Merry Street. In that case, Katelyn Warner, 21, of Bowling Green, was arrested and taken to Wood County Jail.

In that incident, a boyfriend in the residence was reportedly injured, and said Warner woke him up hitting him. He had a visible bump on his forehead, bloodied scratches and bruises on his arms.
