Bowling Green Police arrested a man walking down East Wooster Street, carrying a barstool early Wednesday morning.
An officer was dispatched around 1:30 a.m., after a bar in the 100 block of East Wooster Street reported a barstool was stolen. The suspect description given was a male with a buzz cut, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt last seen near Domino’s Pizza.
The officer found the man matching that description carrying a barstool at that location.
The 18-year-old man told police he was taking the barstool back to the bar after his friend stole it. However, footage from a downtown camera reportedly showed the man stopped by police carrying the barstool in that area of the bar.
The underage man was also found to be intoxicated, and carrying a fake South Carolina driver’s license. He was charged with theft, furnishing false information to obtain alcohol, underage under the influence, and obstructing official business. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
