Downtown Bowling Green S.I.D. and Qdoba would like to congratulate Waddington Jewelers for being voted as the winner of the best decorated Holiday Window Contest.
The contestants were Aardvark-A Three Cord Company, Ace Hardware, Almar Property Management, Ben’s, For Keeps, Get Inspired Nutrition, Grounds for Thought, Homeworks Design Company, Kabob It, Rock Em Sock Em Retro, and Waddington Jewelers. “We were very impressed with all the window displays and the joy they gave to everyone who experienced them.” said Tony Vetter, Director, Downtown Bowling Green Special Improvement District and The Downtown Foundation.
The voting was conducted online at www.downtownbgohio.org. The contest lasted from December 9-16th. Qdoba will be supplying a free lunch to Waddington Jewelers.
If you stopped by one of the stores participating in the Holiday Window Decorating Contest, you could enter a drawing and win Downtown Dollars. The winners are: Carmen Beltran – $200, Sandra Sundermeier – $100, and Bob Beimdieck – $50.
There was also a random drawing to select one person who voted in the contest and that person is Martha Jewell and she will receive $100 in Downtown Dollars to spend at over 70 different locations in Downtown BG. She was very excited and said this was the first time she has won anything! “More people have purchased Downtown Dollars this year than last year. We are very excited to see this program grow and I want to thank all the local businesses and people who purchased Downtown Dollars to give to employees and friends this holiday season” said Tony Vetter.
