Walter W. Bowsher, 85, of Cygnet, Ohio passed away November 3, 2024. He was born November 16, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Burdette and Florence Bowsher. He married Beverly Phillips on May 29, 1960 in Cygnet, Ohio , and she survives.
Walter began his 37-year career in banking at the Cygnet Savings Bank in 1961 as a Bookkeeper and retired in 1998 as Branch Manager of First Merit Bank of Cygnet. He enjoyed golfing, biking, camping, visiting Amish country, fishing with his brothers at their favorite canal, and discovering covered bridges in Ohio and Indiana. Most of all, he loved any family gathering, especially Fall time at Van Buren Park for bonfire cookouts.
In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his son Philip Bowsher, Cygnet, daughters Janet Bowsher, Cygnet, and Patti Bowsher, Bowling Green. Brothers Bill Bowsher, Harrod, Jack Bowsher (Caroline), Cygnet, Sister Norma Bowsher, Bluffton and Special Sister, Sally (Ed) Bresler, Bloomdale. Grandsons, Andrew Bowsher, Findlay, Alan (Stephanie) Bowsher, Wauseon, and Granddaughter, Jennifer (Danny) Garner, Weston. Great-Grandchildren Lucas, Caleb, Ethan, Isaac, Simon, and Lydia Bowsher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Donald and Kenneth, and Sister Catherine Weyer.
Services will be private.
