A warrant has been issued for a woman who allegedly stole more than $1,000 from a gas station in the 900 block of South Main Street.
Bowling Green Police were called to the gas station on Dec. 26 to investigate shortages noticed by the manager. Earlier this month, the manager began noticing missing cigarettes, scratch-off lottery tickets, snacks and drinks.
The manager watched video surveillance in the store, and reportedly saw items from the gas station being stolen by an employee of a company hired to come in a couple times a week to clean and help stock shelves.
It was determined that the woman stole a total of $720 in lottery tickets, and $318 in food and cigarettes.
