Waterville Historical Society to present Lou Ritten for ‘Up the Missouri: Lewis and Clark Expedition Part II’

From WATERVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The community is invited to go back in time with Lou Ritten to travel “Up the Missouri” with Lewis and Clark and their band of explorers on this historic journey. This is an opportunity to celebrate the early history of the United States to honor the 250th anniversary of the founding of the country. The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. via Zoom only.

Ritten is a retired trader of financial instruments but a historian by avocation. He served on the Lewis & Clark Trail Alliance Board for eight years, four as president. Ritten has served as historian on multiple Lewis & Clark bus excursions and conferences. He has three books to his credit with a fourth on the way. While originally from Minneapolis, he now splits his time between Chicago and New Orleans. He is the proud father of two and grandfather of twins.
