From WOOD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Wood County has been elevated to an “enhanced risk” (3 of 5) for severe weather today, July 18. This system is expected to move into the area between 3 – 5 p.m.
What to expect:
- Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening
- Between 3 – 9 p.m.
- All hazards are possible, including:
- Damaging wind gusts of up to 70 mph
- Brief tornadoes
- Quarter-sized hail
- Storms will produce heavy rainfall and could result in localized flash flooding
