Wood County Hospital to host free ‘Family Cooking Night’

From WOOD COUNTY HOSPITAL

Wood County Hospital is inviting local families to roll up their sleeves and join in a hands-on cooking experience at Family Cooking Nights, taking place at Wood County Hospital on Monday, June 15, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

This interactive event brings kids and caregivers together to prepare a simple, nutritious meal while learning practical cooking skills and healthy eating habits. Participants will discuss meal prep ideas, explore the new dietary guidelines, and enjoy working side-by-side preparing food.

Family Cooking Night also supports the Wood County Health Department’s Fatherhood Community Passport program, aimed at strengthening family engagement and encouraging positive parent-child interactions through shared learning experiences.

“Cooking together is a powerful way to build both strong relationships and lifelong healthy habits,” said an event organizer. “This event is designed to make healthy eating approachable, fun, and family-centered.”

The event is free and open to area families, though advanced registration is required. Space is limited.

Families can expect a welcoming environment focused on connection, learning, and a good meal. For more information or to register, visit the hospital’s Facebook page or call 419-354-8887.
