Wood County reports 188 new COVID cases, 2 more deaths

Wood County has reported 188 new COVID cases and two more deaths since Thursday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.

That brings the total for the county to 18,143 cases, 263 deaths, and 816 hospitalizations from COVID.

Wood County is seeing an average of 37 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 242 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.

During the last two weeks, the 478 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 177; Bowling Green, 78; Northwood, 28; Pemberville, 28; Walbridge, 26; North Baltimore, 18; Millbury, 17; Weston, 14; and Rossford, 14.

Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Nov. 4 gave an update of cases, including:

  • Eastwood, 3 students, 1 staff.
  • Lake, 3 students, 0 staff.
  • North Baltimore, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • Northwood, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • Otsego, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • Perrysburg, 24 students, 10 staff.
  • Rossford, 4 students, 1 staff.
  • St. Aloysius, 3 students, 0 staff.
  • St. Rose Preschool, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • St. Rose School, 2 students, 0 staff.
