From WOOD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Wood County is under a flood watch until 6 p.m. today, July 6. Scattered showers and thunderstorms with periods of torrential rainfall rates will continue to impact the area through this afternoon and early evening.
Rainfall rates of greater than two inches per hour are possible with thunderstorms, which can quickly result in flash flooding in prone areas. Flooding of low lying, urban, and poor drainage areas may be possible.
Wood County EMA will continue to provide updates as deemed appropriate.
