Over the weekend, the pair of peregrine falcons in the Wood County Courthouse clock tower welcomed three new hatchlings – officially called eyasses – to their nest. The baby birds were spotted on the 2025 Falcon Cam this afternoon.

At the end of March, the falcon family returned to clock tower for the 15th consecutive year to lay their eggs, just two blocks away from the Bowling Green State University campus.

The Falcon Cam – which provides a 24/7 bird’s-eye view livestream of the sights and sounds in the nest – is made possible through a continued partnership between BGSU and the Wood County Commissioners.

With the falcon serving as its official mascot, BGSU will commemorate Freddie Falcon’s 75th birthday during its 2025 Homecoming celebration with special events and activities for alumni and the learning and greater community.
