The Village of Pemberville will host its fifth annual Party in the Park to support the Pemberville Community Pool. Taking place on Sunday, June 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Memorial Park, College Avenue, all are invited to attend the free event.
Providing music for the afternoon will be two bands, alternating each hour: Los Hermanos, a Tejano band, and Haywire, a country band. There will also be multiple food trucks with a variety of options to enjoy. In the afternoon, the cost of swimming will be reduced for all.
During this time, a Kids’ Makers Mart will be featured, which is new this year. Shirley Ducat will be balloon twisting throughout the event and the Good Times Car Show will line Memorial Drive with their ‘lowrider’ vehicles. The Wood County Park District will also be on hand to distribute bicycle helmets to children.
Party in the Park was established five years ago, in the wake of Covid-19. Organizers wanted to more than support the Pemberville Community Pool. They wanted “to bring a fun alternative to the lockdown.” This free event is supported by the Village of Pemberville and local businesses including: Gold Sponsor, Pain Neuf Baker, and Silver Sponsors, Amplex, Burk’s Equipment and Auto Repair, Groundskeeper Outdoor Solutions, Hartung Brothers, Hirzels Canning Co., Dave Hook, North Branch Nursery, Portage Valley Hearing. Bronze Sponsors include 1859 Mutual , A New Doo Pet Salon, Bob’s Plumbing, Heating and AC, Comfy Cactus, Glen Davis DDS, El Zarape, Kuhlman and Beck, La Conexion, Legacy Veterinary Services, Obie’s Flowers, Piano Works, Mayor Carol Bailey, and the Union Bank.
