Perrysburg Musical Theatre will hold auditions for its production of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Sunday, Aug. 24, 2-5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m.at the Perrysburg Arts Center, 210 East South Boundary, Perrysburg.

“Jesus Christ Superstar,” A rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, tells the story of biblical Jesus in the final days leading up to his crucifixion.
Show dates are Nov. 6-9. The production team is led by production is led by Julie Bermudez, artistic director, Cayla Slattery, director; Charlie Ligus, musical director; Julie O’Connell , choreographer; and Dave Bermudez, tech and set designer.
PMT’s vision of this show is to maintain the energetic, rebellious rock opera feel while bringing fresh sets, lighting, costuming and contemporary choreography for a modern vibe.
PMT is seeking a diverse company of performers to reflect the contemporary world. Actors of all ethnicities, abilities, genders, and ages (15 and up) are encouraged to audition for any role of interest. Genders are not listed intentionally for some characters in the packet. However, contractually, PMT is not able to change the script or transpose music.
