From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Wood County District Public Library and the Maumee Valley Romance Author Inc. would like to invite the public to an event designed to guide aspiring and emerging authors through the essential steps of publishing, from production to promotion. This workshop will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10:30 a.m., at the Walbridge library, 108 N. Main St.
In this session, Constance Phillips and Shay Lacy from Maumee Valley Romance Author Inc. will cover:
- Production: The ins and outs of editing, formatting, cover design, ISBNs, and choosing between self-publishing and traditional routes
- Marketing: Strategies to build an author platform, craft compelling book launches, leverage social media, and get one’s book in front of the right readers
Whether someone is just starting their publishing journey or looking to boost the success of their next release, this session will help equip people with the knowledge and tools to navigate the world of book publishing.
A Q&A session will follow and give attendees the opportunity to ask questions specific to their book or publishing goals.
No registration is required. The event is free and open to the public.
