What began in a garage with soapmaking and liquidated goods has grown into one of Bowling Green’s largest hubs for local artists.
Scott and Lisa Kaminski, longtime residents of Wood County, operate Inspired Mindz, a combination of artisan and liquidated goods.
After outgrowing two previous spaces, the business relocated in June 2025 to a nearly 19,000 square foot suite in the Woodland Mall.
“We started with like 2,500 square feet,” Scott said. “We just ran out of room over where we were. It’s really the big reason why we moved.”
The couple’s venture began more than a decade ago when Lisa began making soaps after taking a class. Her soaps – later expanding to scrubs, shampoos and dog-friendly soaps – were the foundation.
From there, they naturally connected with other local vendors and saw an opportunity to create a space for others.
“It would be nice to have a couple spots where people could sell their stuff … give them an outlet.”
What began with just two vendors has expanded to more than 60, all in the 419 area code. Each vendor rents space within the store, where handmade goods mix with liquidated goods.

Items range from clothing to candles to skincare, and everything in-between.
Local potter Anna McMillin has been involved with Inspired Mindz since shortly after opening. She now helps run the store, her main responsibility is arranging displays.
“My business has grown and changed over the years with the help of the business here,” McMillin said. “It’s been a fun journey.”
The Kaminskis said measuring success is simple: running out of room again.
“For us, it would be to get to that point again and have the same problem of needing a bigger spot,” Scott said.
For now, they plan to continue offering space and welcoming vendors and customers alike.
Inspired Mindz will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 4 p.m., located at 1234 N. Main St. Suite D in the Woodland Mall.
