BG Police arrest man after finding him in the Wood County Courthouse during night

A 20-year-old was arrested Saturday (Sept. 20) around 12:50 a.m., after he was found inside the Wood County Courthouse.

Police responded to an alarm for the south door of the courthouse, and saw a male leaving the east side entrance. The male, later identified as Vincent Sciarabba, of Bowling Green, reportedly ran from police, despite orders for him to stop. Police caught up with Sciarabba in the backyard of a home in the 200 block of North Enterprise Street.

Sciarabba reportedly told police he had consumed a few beers, but didn’t believe he was overly intoxicated. However, he reportedly vomited in the back of a police cruiser, then was medically cleared to BG Fire Division.

According to the police report, a security video in the courthouse showed Sciarabba entering through the south door and proceeding up the stairs to the second floor, where he reportedly took three signs and brought them to the first floor of the courthouse.

Sciarabba was arrested for burglary, obstructing official business, criminal mischief, and underage under the influence.
