From WINTERFEST COMMITTEE
The Winterfest Committee has announced the return of Winterfest and new partnership with the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Foundation. The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9:30 a.m. – 11 p.m., indoor and outdoor, at the Veterans Building at City Park.
Winterfest will feature a fun-run, chili cookoff and bake sale, ice carving demonstrations, live music, food trucks, and children’s activities. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase throughout the day.
Ticket sales for the chili cookoff will benefit the American Association of University Women of Bowling Green’s scholarship fund, while funds from the bake sale will benefit Women’s Club of Bowling Green. Evening ticket sales will benefit the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Foundation and Winterfest. Cans will be collected throughout the event and recycled with Bates Recycling, which will benefit the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s “BG Boom” fireworks festival.
