League of Women Voters to hold ‘What’s Mappening, Bowling Green?’ conversation on redistricting

From LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF BOWLING GREEN

Ohio is currently in the process of redrawing its U.S. Congressional map. Thus far, lawmakers tasked with redistricting have not produced a map for citizens to provide feedback on, passing a first constitutional deadline and approaching a second. The Fair Districts Ohio coalition believes Ohioans deserve input, so they are taking the current congressional map on the road.

Fair Districts Ohio invites everyone to a community conversation about “all things redistricting” on Thursday, Oct. 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St., Bowling Green. There will be a deep dive into the current map, an opportunity to have questions answered about where in the process the map is, and how redistricting affects people. Then, community members will get the microphone, so they can share changes they believe would make the map better for the community.
