BGSU School of Nursing holds first fall pinning ceremony for graduating students

From BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY

Honoring the academic accomplishments of the Class of 2025, the Bowling Green State University School of Nursing held its first-ever pinning ceremony for graduating students on Friday, Dec. 12, in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

During the ceremony, 32 nursing degree candidates from four states, including 24 Ohio counties, received a pin that represents the BGSU School of Nursing and incorporates the Nightingale Lamp, which symbolizes a nurse’s dedication to patient care and well-being.

BGSU launched its standalone School of Nursing in 2020 to support workforce needs and address a nationwide nursing shortage. At BGSU, nursing students learn from faculty with real-world experience in state-of-the-art classrooms and simulation labs.
