Warren & Flick to perform at St. Timothy’s for first ‘Discovers Music Series’ concert of 2026

From TIMOTHY’S PERRYSBURG FOUNDATION

Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation has announced the artists for the first “Discovers Music Series” concert of 2026. This next performance, as with all its events, will be presented at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 E. Boundary St., Perrysburg. The mission of the foundation is “to clothe, feed, and fulfill” and its next artists aim to “fulfill.”

On Jan. 18, Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation is welcoming the duo of Warren & Flick, who are performing for the first time with Discovers. Violinist Grant Flick has many connections to northwest Ohio, as his family has been rooted in Bowling Green for many years. Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation is pleased to feature a “native son” of Wood County in its next concert.

Jacob Warren and Flick are virtuosic string musicians, performing on different instruments, including the double bass, violin, tenor guitar, and the nyckelharpa, a Swedish bowed string instrument that features keys. They describe their music – both standard repertoire and original compositions – as adventurous yet grounded, rooted in musical traditions with a new approach. The audience can expect a variety of styles, including folk, jazz, and classical music. They have published many of their original compositions and have three albums of original music. The artists will have CDs available for purchase at the concert at a cost of $15-20 per album.

Both Warren and Flick are graduates of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance. In 2023, Warren won first prize in the International Society of Bassists solo competition. Recently, in 2025, Warren and Flick were invited to headline the International Society of Bassists Conference. Additionally, they were finalists in the 2024 Concert Artists Guild Competition.

This free admission concert is sponsored by Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation and hosted by St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. This marks the third season that Discovers has been an integral part of the Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation, which supports three initiatives: Discovers Music Series; The Clothesline, a free clothing opportunity; and the St. Tim’s Kitchen, which supports food insecurity by repurposing rescued food.

For the event on Sunday, Jan. 18, the recital space will open at 2:30 p.m.; the concert will begin at 3 p.m. There is no reserved seating for this free admission concert. The facility is accessible and offers ample parking.

Discovers is a series dedicated to bringing quality music programs to audiences from throughout northwest Ohio. Donations are appreciated and patron information will be available at the concert. All programs are free and open to the public, usually scheduled on Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. Information on upcoming events in the series is available at www.timothysperrysburg.org.
