From BOWLING GREEN KIWANIS CLUB
The BG Kiwanis Club’s biggest fundraiser, Pancake Day, which started in the 1960s, will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 7 a.m. – noon, in the Bowling Green High School cafeteria. The community is invited to enjoy plain and blueberry pancakes, sausage, Biggby coffee, milk, and juice. The raffling of 11 gift baskets with a variety of themes adds a new twist to Pancake Day.
Baskets include:
- Ben’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Basket
- Tailgate Party!
- Lottery Tickets Galore basket
- Mixed Greens Cash Salad Basket (over $100 cash)
- Taste of Ohio
- Spa Day & Relaxation
- Kentucky Derby Basket
- The Vice Squad Basket
- Coffee Break Treats Basket
- Bobcat Proud Basket
- The President’s Basket – Paul Herringshaw
BG Kiwanians will also sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn will provide golf carts to go from the parking lot to the entrance of the high school.
The proceeds from this twice-a-year event provide the funds for about 25 service projects. These Pancake Days have become a tradition, bringing the Bowling Green community together for social time while sharing a meal. Kids can also enjoy free face painting.
Tickets may be purchased from BG Kiwanis members or at the door Saturday morning.
