Actors Collaborative Toledo (ACT) invites audiences to experience a powerful and intimate stage reading of “Tuesdays with Morrie,” adapted from the bestselling memoir by Mitch Albom. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.act419.org or at the door beginning one hour before each performance (if any tickets remain).

This deeply moving production stars Toledo theatre veteran Paul Causman as Morrie, alongside ACT co-founder John DuVall as Mitch. The performance marks DuVall’s first appearance on a Toledo stage since returning after several years living in North Carolina.

“Tuesdays with Morrie” chronicles the true story of a journalist who reconnects with his former college professor who is facing the end of his life. Through a series of weekly visits, the two explore life’s most essential questions—love, loss, purpose, and human connection—creating a story that continues to resonate across generations.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working opposite John several times now, and I’m thrilled to be back on stage with him. We have the kind of unique chemistry as actors that is truly special to find,” said Causman. “It is also great to be working with ACT again!”

DuVall added” “It is important to produce shows like ‘Tuesdays with Morrie,’ shows that focus on how people connect, now more than ever. We need to affirm and celebrate that love is always the answer. I will always jump at the opportunity to work with Paul. We have a shared history of acting and directing that goes back to 1987, including ‘Deathtrap,’ ‘Art,’ and ‘Red.’ A wonderful actor and cherished friend—it is a joy to be onstage with him again!”

This staged reading format places the focus squarely on the actors and the text, offering audiences an intimate theatrical experience that highlights the emotional depth and humanity at the heart of Albom’s story. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit ALS research, honoring the real-life condition that shaped Morrie’s journey.
