Terry Lynn Waltz passed away May 3, 2026 at Wood County Hospital at the age of 86. Terry was the son of Gerald and Virginia (Kerr) Waltz.
Terry was a radio man, working at WAWR, a local radio station, he was the play-by-play announcer for the home and away BGSU basketball games. For many years, Terry worked as a Realtor at Bee Gee Realty, which was owned by his mother, Virginia. He also worked at other local agencies.
Terry was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he was trained to assemble atomic shells. He was very proud of his service. This last summer his Army photo was featured on Main Street and it filled him with pride.
He loved traveling, his sports teams, scratch-offs, Las Vegas and Hollywood Casino.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Waltz, son Curt Waltz and his parents. Terry is survived by his wife Carolyn (Garrow) Waltz. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 17. Terry is also survived by his son Brad Waltz and daughter Jenny (Chris) Mendieta and grandchildren Anna and Joey Gudakunst.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bridge Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
