From BOWLING GREEN ARTS COUNCIL

The Bowling Green Arts Council and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department will host the 13th annual Art in the Park on the grounds of Simpson Garden Park, 1291 Conneaut Ave., on Friday, June 12, from 5 – 7 p.m., rain or shine. The event will feature live music and artists demonstrating their skills in a garden setting. Children can experience hands-on art activities and face painting by the makeup team for BG’s Distracted Haunted House – adults are welcome to have their faces painted too. The event is free and open to the public.

As they stroll through the plants and flowers in Simpson Garden Park, attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy music by acoustic local musicians and music groups, BGSU students and faculty, including Nazanin and Majid Javdani, Toraigh, the SemiCircle Guitar Group, the Bowling Green Drum Circle, it’s somewhat humanoid!, and Chris Witulski.

The visual artists featured will include Greg Justus, Brynn Busalacchi, Casey Jo Rohm, Issa Boiselle, Jules Reith, and Charlotte Reith.

The Tucker Food truck will be serving Aussie foods.

In case of rain, artists will demonstrate/perform in the Simpson building. Parking is available at the Wood County Hospital west lot, which adjoins the park.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy an evening in the park celebrating local artists. This event is sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Council and Bowling Green Parks & Recreation with additional support from Wood County Hospital.
