The 6th annual Merle Trumbull Golf Outing to benefit Hospice of Northwest Ohio still has openings for the Flight 1 at the Aug. 29 event at the 747 Independence Ave., Fostoria.
Flight 1 is already full with 36 teams. Flight 2 will include 30 teams.
All proceeds will benefit Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
The golf outing was founded by his family in 2021 the year after Mr. Trumbull died in 2020. An avid golfer Mr. Trumbull was member and ranger at Forerst Creason Golf course at BGSU, where he was employed as a carpenter for 25 years.
He received home hospice care in his final days. The family choose Hospice of Northwest Ohio as the beneficiary because they wanted proceeds from the event to remain local.
