From WOOD COUNTY MUSEUM
The Wood County Museum, 13660 County Home Road. Bowling Green, invites the community to step back in time and into the kitchen for an afternoon at “Taste Test the Past,” part of its America250-themed programming series.
On Monday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m., guests will get a first-hand experience with hot water canning. Each participant will learn how to safely preserve food from personal gardens, how to find recipes, and how to do proper canning research. Everyone will go home with a jar of tomato sauce.
This program is part of the museum’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, offering ways to connect with the past through hands-on experiences.
The cost is free for members and $10 for non-members. Tickets include admission to the program and a self-guided tour of the museum. Space is limited and advance registration is encouraged.
